Developing alcohol branding

NHS Stoke-on-Trent asked Uscreates to increase the impact of diverse alcohol related campaigns by coordinating them under one strong central strategy as part of the Safer City Partnership.

“Uscreates gave us a cohesive and compelling brand identity, and some wonderfully fresh new ideas about communicating it. Their audience understanding and creative flair are helping us deliver clear and effective alcohol related campaigns.”
Keith Swift, NHS Stoke on Trent.

We involved the target audience from inception right through to delivery, using a collaborative methodology to tackle the complex social and cultural issues around excessive alcohol consumption.

A campaign plan and strategy for future initiatives included a face-to-face toolkit for frontline staff, a Facebook page, an online microsite and viral photoshoots delivering personalised applications in clubs, pubs and bars.

We delivered the Christmas 2010 campaign to reduce drink driving using the new brand identity. The campaign included outdoor communications on streets and buses, branded wristbands and water bottles in targeted locations, and a branded alcohol units calculator featuring local stars.
