As part of our work with the partners of the Well London programme, we have been helping to deliver some of the outcomes from the Community Cafes Consultations.
Feedback from the consultation and engagement process in Croydon was that local people wanted Well London to develop opportunities to bring people together to celebrate the area.
The first of these events, Love Croydon, was held last weekend on Handcroft Estate and saw a range of partners and a huge number of volunteers pulling together to produce a fantastically successful day of events, tasters and fun.
We helped the partners introduce the idea of mental well-being to visitors and encouraged people to try out some of the very practical ways that we can all keep ourselves healthy and happy. The Well-being passports went down a storm (we completely ran out) and our Well-being guides had a great time helping visitors explore every zone.
Other highlights from the day include the yummy BBQ food, the cryptic well-being postcards, kids games, potting strawberry plants, and the fantastic fashion show at the end.
Congratulations to everyone involved.
