Newham Food Access Partnership AGM

Uscreates facilitated an action-planning workshop at the Newham Food Access Partnership AGM and Newham Food Network event. The workshop involved different members from local community organisations in Newham. The aim was to review existing activity and generate innovative ideas for new food-based projects that focus on improving food access, developing knowledge and skills, and achieving behaviour change for particular target groups. The session also included a presentation on Uscreates’ Experience Food at work initiative, to demonstrate how a creative approach can achieve positive outcomes.

We really enjoyed the day and were inspired by the ideas which were generated, from DIY, grow your own fruit and veg kits for low income families, to pedometers on buggies to help improve the health of young mothers.  We hope to see them develop in the near future!
