World Design Capital 2008

The Uscreates Directors Zoë Stanton and Mary Rose Cook are attending Designing Connected Places, an international design summer school, in Turin this week.

Zoë and May will join a selected group of young designers of different nationalities to develop solutions for 6 problems outlined by 6 local bodies. These are: health and well-being, food and new food networks, urban mobility, security and quality of life in the city, new production systems, and forms of representation of the region and its communities.

Zoë will be focusing on design for sustainable food systems under leading international Food Designer Marti Guixe and Mary will be exploring design for health and well-being in Turin.

Uscreates will be posting their experiences on a project blog.
