Olympics inspired Trafford
13.01.2012
Uscreates has recently embarked on another Public Services by Design project with the Design Council and NHS Trafford, to create a visual pitch document for a Summer of Wellbeing idea. The aim would be to get potential partnership organisations, community groups, and residents involved in the co-production of the Summer of Wellbeing.
The Summer of Wellbeing is a festival of community led events inspired by Trafford’s Olympic status and its sporting and leisure assets. The Summer of Wellbeing hopes to encourage the local community to take up a physical activity and reflect on the Five Ways to Wellbeing.
To develop this idea further and identify the best branding, format and avenues for the pitch, Uscreates ran a co-developed workshop with Trafford stakeholders and residents. The workshop engaged participants in a series of activities and methods such as ‘speed meeting’, ‘chit chat’, ‘stepping stone’, and ‘style vote’.
Outcomes from the workshop helped Uscreates synthesise what to pitch and how best to pitch it. The pitch document is now in its iteration phase via an online platform called crocodoc, which invites constant input and feedback from stakeholders.
