Uscreates on the ethics of co-design
Mary Rose Cook, Uscreates co-founder and director, sketched out some ethical considerations that may surface when collaboratively designing solutions to social problems at the DOTT Cornwall Inspired Think Tank, held on 25th and 26th March at the Bedruthan Steps Hotel.
Designers in the public sector are facing tough questions, such as whether they are equipped to deal with the sensitive information uncovered when working on teenage pregnancy or worklessness.
To address these and other challenges, Uscreates has begun a series of conversations with practitioners, academics and a wider audience to co-design an ethical toolkit for designers.
