Collaborators Cherry Orchard Primary School pupils and staff

Before Cherry Orchard Primary School wanted to develop ways to build relationships within the school and the local community, and to allow pupils to communicate their in-school and out-of-school concerns.

Approach‘We’re Here for You’ a peer listening service that runs during break time, and is designed, promoted and lead by pupils trained as ‘listeners’. The service allows pupils across the school to sign up with peer ‘listeners’ to seek advice about their day-to-day problems.

– ‘We’re Here for You’ service is now fully operational
– Plans for ‘We’re here for you’ to be rolled out to other schools in the borough.
