Uscreates worked with pupils from Cherry Orchard Primary School to develop an area for pupil interaction which would build relationships with the school, each other, and the community. Uscreates used a project model where pupils lead the work and take ownership of it from conception stage to final models.
The first stage of the project started with an exploration into interaction through modelling, image banks, dictaphones and cameras.
In the second stage, the pupils devised a questionnaire to know more about what the rest of the school thought on interaction.
Ideas were developed through creating mood boards and eventually designing models of the space. The pupils then shared their ideas with fellow students through a presentation and consultation where everyone was given the opportunity to offer feedback on the models.
